Abat-Jour Conique fabric shade
Abat-Jour Conique is the first lampshade designed for Potence by Prouvé in 1947 and is intended for use with the Potence and Petite Potence lamps. It is simply fitted over the light bulb and can be removed again when needed.///Description
During the 1940s, Jean ProuvĆ© designed the Potence wall lamp for his own home in Nancy: a simple light bulb affixed to a long pivoting metal bar, which is supported by a steel wire. In 1947 ProuvĆ© developed a cone-shaped lamp shade to match Potence in its different versions and sizes. Historical photos of Jean ProuvĆ©ās house show that he experimented with different types of lamp shades, including designs by others.
