Archer cantilever chair

Archer cantilever chair

A generously proportioned cantilever chair made from tubular steel, with a plywood seat and backrest. Archer respectively references the epoch-defining tubular steel chairs first produced a century ago, while featuring a number of details that make it resolutely modern. Archer is suited to both domestic and contract applications and has passed BS EN16139:2013 Level One.///Description
The design utilises the material elegance of formed tubing to give the chair the right amount of spring, providing both comfort and a little dynamism. The use of semicircular forms in the foot, seat and backrest, which creates three aligned arcs when looking from above, gives the design a unified look. The rounded motif used on the junction of the seat back is an elegant touch, while the slimness of the tubing adds to an overall sense of lightness. Archer is a well resolved design that provides comfort and grace in equal measure.
