Cobra wall light
Designed by Greta M. Grossman in the 1950's, the Cobra Wall Lamp takes its name from the snake’s hood which is coyly resembled by its oval shade.///Description
Cobra is an extremely functional wall light, with a moveable shade that can be tilted 90 degrees, and rotated 360 degrees. It emits a soft light which is ideal for illuminating entrances and hallways. It is operated by a switch on the back plate.
Swedish born Grossman was greatly influenced by European modernism and the Bauhaus movement, developing a design language which would underpin mid-century Californian Modernism. Her signature aesthetic is reflected by the lamp's simple, soft-edged form – at once paired back yet striking.
