KUMPU trivet

Designed by Mika & Julie Tolvanen. The word ‘kumpu’ means mound in Finnish. KUMPU's mounds gently rise from the table's surface, elevating your cookware, protecting your table from heat, dents, and scratches.///Description
A unique sand mould is made for each trivet, shaped by hand at the foundry. After each use, the sand is saved and reused to cast the next piece. Produced in Lyretad, Sweden, at a family-owned foundry started in the 1950s.  The founder’s grandson is a third-generation iron caster.
