Description
London based design duo Wilkinson Rivera have created an innovative method of constructing a table. A stock cut of London plane wood (a hybrid of the American sycamore and Oriental plane trees) is cut crossways twice, and then refitted back together to form a single sculptural piece of wood. This element is then used in the construction of the table in the legs, creating a unique and beautiful finished piece. The method ensures that both strength is retained in the wood sections and that there is very little waste in the construction of the design.
