The Platner collection of 1966 comprises a side chair, lounge chair, stool, dining, side and coffee tables. Inspired by the cultural shift of the 1960ās, designer Warren Platner took the opportunity to re-imagine the prevailing modern rationale by combining it with a more expressive aesthetic.
The upholstered side chair makes an elegant dining or meeting chair, ideal for residential and commercial settings.
Materials
Frame: Forms created by vertical steel wire rods welded to circular horizontal and edge-framing rods. Bright nickel finish with clear lacquer protection, painted bronze metallic or finished in plated 18k gold. Base: Clear plastic extrusion ring for smooth bottom surface. Upholstery: Moulded fibreglass shell with foam cushion quilting. Cushions with latex core and zipper cover attach to seat with Velcro.
